Scotty McCreery Named 'Best American Idol' By L.A. Times Readers

SCOTTY MCCREERY has been voted "Best AMERICAN Idol" by "The LOS ANGELES Times" readers in a recent poll, beating out fellow contestants from all previous seasons of the FOX-TV reality singing competition. PHILLIP PHILLIPS, KELLY CLARKSON, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, and JORDIN SPARKS rounded out the top five vote-getters in the poll.

"Well dagum! I don't even know what to say," said MCCREERY upon learning of the results. "I appreciate all the love and support that my fans have given me since I first appeared on 'Idol' five years ago. Because of them, I get to live out my dreams.
