MEDIA MONITORS’ tracking of radio ad spending in GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG, COLUMBIA, and CHARLESTON, SC for the SOUTH CAROLINA primaries shows has been updated to cover JANUARY 1st through FEBRUARY 14th, and it shows TED CRUZ taking the lead through his Super PACs KEEP THE PROMISE I (1,015 spots) and LONE STAR COMMITTEE (24 spots) alongside his campaign (517 spots), with a total of 1,556 spots.
HILLARY CLINTON is second with 1,425 spots (384 spots from her Super PAC PRIORITIES USA ACTION, the rest from her campaign), and MARCO RUBIO third with 918 spots, all from his CONSERVATIVE SOLUTIONS Super PAC. DONALD TRUMP’s campaign bought 543 spots, followed by JEB BUSH, BEN CARSON, BERNIE SANDERS, and Democratic candidate WILLIE WILSON.
Among the “Against” spots, RUBIO’s CONSERVATIVE SOLUTIONS PAC bought 312 spots targeting CRUZ, while BUSH’s RIGHT TO RISE USA PAC took out 167 spots against RUBIO.
