Radio, TV Research Executive Ron Werth Passes Away At 79

Condolences to family and friends of longtime radio and television network research executive RON WERTH, who died TUESDAY (2/16) at his home in ALLENTOWN, NJ at 79.

WERTH's long career stretched back to the early 1960s at ABC O&O WABC-TV/NEW YORK and included stints at PGW, ABC NEWS, NBC's O&O TV stations, AVCO TV SALES, TRENDEX, WESTINGHOUSE BROADCASTING, THE FOCUS GROUP, INC., MUTUAL BROADCASTING SYSTEM, UNITED STATIONS RADIO NETWORKS, and, most recently, WESTWOOD ONE, where he served as SVP, Research in 1994-2002, when he retired.

A memorial service will be held FRIDAY (2/19) at PEPPLER FUNERAL HOME in ALLENTOWN, NJ, with visitation beforehand.  Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to THE JOAN DANCY & PALS FOUNDATION (www.joandancyandpals.org) or the ALS ASSOCIATION (www.alsa.org).
