CUMULUS Alternative WNNX (EVERYTHING ALTERNATIVE 99X)/ATLANTA has relaunched its morning show, "The New Morning X," featuring SEAN DEMERY, LESLIE FRAM, ROB JENNERS, and MONTI CARLO with other cast members to be unveiled over the next few weeks. The debut show featured "24" star KIEFER SUTHERLAND.
99X PD LESLIE FRAM continues as The New Morning X cornerstone. New to the show is SEAN DEMERY, who returned to 99X after five years as PD at CBS Alternative KITS (LIVE 105)/SAN FRANCISCO. He was previously with 99X as one of the original staffers and before leaving had been MD, and had done mornings and afternoons.
And new to THE NEW MORNING X is JENNERS from CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Rocker WBGG (BIG 105.9) where he was part of the PAUL & YOUNG RON morning show as a personality and producer. And MONTI CARLO returns to ATLANTA; she was previously at WZGC doing mornings, following six years in standup comedy and radio in FLORIDA.
WNNX & WWWQ OM ROB ROBERTS told ALL ACCESS, "We looked under every rock, radio station and bar & grill in America to put together a group of misfits who could proudly carry the banner of the New Morning X. I couldn't be happier with these maniacs. We've been laughing non-stop for the last week preparing for the launch this morning!"
"There's a poet out there who says 'you can never go home'...that guy's an idiot," DEMERY told ALL ACCESS. "It's great to be back with family and much hugs to LESLIE and CUMULUS for the means, the ways and the ability to put this together so quickly and getting us on the air as a show the first MONDAY in OCOTOBER ... amazing!"
FRAM said, "It feels like history repeating itself! SEAN and I were two of the people that signed on 99X in 1992. We always said we wanted to do a show together some day. How serendipitous that it would actually be at 99X!"
