The FCC has entered a consent decree with JEFFREY FULLER's J&J RADIO CORP. and SIMON FULLER's BETTER BROADCASTING, INC. that has the two companies paying $8,000 to settle charges that BETTER BROADCASTING took undue control of Adult Standards KCHE-A and Classic Hits KCHE-F/CHEROKEE, IA in advance of purchasing the stations for $1.35 million.
BETTER BROADCASTING began operation of the stations under an LMA on DECEMBER 29th 2011, and its terms gave BBI the power to make direct payments of station expenses and debts, including two salaries; the FCC learned of the arrangement when the sale contract and LMA document were filed last JULY. A later amendment terminated the LMA on JANUARY 31st, 2016. If the fine is paid and no other issues arise, the Commission will grant the sale application.
