WGHQ/Kingston, NY To Flip To Classic Country

PAMAL BROADCASTING's LMA of WGHQ-A/KINGSTON, NY to ROBIN HOOD RADIO is ending on MONDAY and the station will flip from noncommercial News-Talk and NPR programming to Classic Country, reports the DAILY FREEMAN.

In 2014, PAMAL announced that the station, which it planned to shut down at the time, was being sold to public radio broadcaster TRI-STATE PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS -- which operates noncommercial WLHV (ROBIN HOOD RADIO)/ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY -- for an undisclosed price, and would simulcast WLHV and carry the local KINGSTON COMMUNITY RADIO show 7-9a (ET) weekdays. The latter show will continue with the new Classic Country format.
