FCC Sends Out First EEO Audit Letters Of 2016

EEO Letters Sent

The first random EEO audit letters of 2016 have been sent by the FCC to radio and TV stations.  

The letter was sent YESTERDAY (2/24); about 5% of all broadcast station licenses are chosen at random for the audits.  Stations with five or more full-time employees are required to comply with EEO rules, but all stations selected for the audit must respond to the letters regardless of whether they are subject to the requirement that they have an EEO recruitment program in place.
