BROOKLYN NETS NBA basketball will continue to air on CBS RADIO Sports WFAN-A-F/NEW YORK under an extension of their multi-year broadcast rights agreement, the team and station announced TODAY (2/25). The deal, with financial terms and exact duration not disclosed, includes select college basketball games and other events at BARCLAYS CENTER; News WCBS-A will be the backup station in the event of conflicts with NEW YORK YANKEES baseball and NEW YORK GIANTS football.
The "BROOKLYN NETS REPORT" on JOE BENIGNO and EVAN ROBERTS' midday show will continue weekly during the NBA season.
“Our relationship with CBS RADIO continues to give us a major voice in the nation’s largest market,” said BROOKLYN SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT CEO BRETT YORMARK. “This new agreement comes on the heels of our recent extension with YES NETWORK, providing the team with premium exposure on two of the country’s most popular sports outlets.”
“CBS RADIO is proud to continue our association with the BROOKLYN NETS and BARCLAYS CENTER,” said CBS RADIO Pres. ANDRE FERNANDEZ. “We have defined our position in sports broadcasting by delivering the most extensive coverage of local programming and events, and we continue to make aggressive investments in exclusive content our audiences can’t find anywhere else.”
