MORRIS COMMUNICATIONS Sports KXPS-A/PALM SPRINGS afternoon "THE TRUTH ON SPORTS" hosts PETE FOX and BRIAN LONG played a 24-hour golf marathon at 12 different courses in the COACHELLA VALLEY to raise funds for the MOURNING STAD CENTER, an organization that helps children who have lost family members. FOX and LONG started at the ESCENA GOLF CLUB in PALM SPRINGS on THURSDAY at 3p PT and hit several more courses before ending with a live broadcast 3-5p FRIDAY at the DESERT WILLOW GOLF RESORT in PALM DESERT. The goal was $5,000, but the fundraiser doubled that, pulling in $10,000 for the cause.
