Arbitron Names Al Tupek Chief Statistical Officer

ARBITRON has tapped AL TUPEK -- former head of the U.S. CENSUS BUREAU's Demographic Statistical Methods Division -- as the company's Chief Statistical Officer (CSO). In his new role, TUPEK, who will report directly to ARBITRON's Chief Research Officer BOB PATCHEN, will supervise ARBITRON’s statistical research staff.

"AL is extremely qualified and well prepared for this new role," said PATCHEN. "He has been a thought leader on the front lines of survey research for the past three decades, which have been critical formative years in our field. AL is a consummate research professional with a proven track record of creative and effective solutions to tough research quality challenges.
