CLEAR CHANNEL Hot AC KYSR (STAR 98.7)/LOS ANGELES announces their "LOUNGE FOR LIFE" benefit concert featuring RAY LAMONTAGNE, JEWEL, TRAIN, and TEDDY GEIGER on THURSDAY (10/5) at the HOUSE OF BLUES in LA. Proceeds from the event will benefit the CITY OF HOPE to help in the fight against breast cancer.
KYSR will also be holding an auction on www.star987.com where listeners can bid on autographed guitars from THE DIXIE CHICKS, JOHN MAYER, SNOW PATROL, JEWEL, INXS and other memorabilia. Featured items available for bidding include a private FIVE FOR FIGHTING concert at one listener's home for 20 friends, or a GOO GOO DOLLS concert at a local club for 500.
"This year's event is shaping up to be Over the Top," says KYSR PD CHARESE FRUGE', "JOHN ONDRASICK of FIVE FOR FIGHTING stopped by the studios on FRIDAY afternoon to hang with TOM MITCHELL, and announce that he was donating a private party featuring a STAR LOUNGE with JOHN at someone's house for auction for the benefit. JAMIE, JACK and STENCH got a call this morning from LONDON. It was JOHNNY RESNICK of the GOO GOO DOLLS who donated a private party with the band at the KEY CLUB in LA to be auctioned off. I am thrilled that these guys want to help out with such a good cause. It's nice to have the artists support." For more info or tickets to the event, log on to www.star987.com.
