Julio Liberman Passes

Condolences to family and friends of JULIO LIBERMAN, who with his brothers JOSE and ELIAS and father ADOLFO established what became LBI MEDIA/LIBERMAN BROADCASTING, the Spanish-language radio and TV group.  JULIO LIBERMAN died MARCH 3rd in SIMI VALLEY, CA at 87.

The LIBERMANS started with XEGM-A/TIJUANA, then entered LOS ANGELES with the purchase of KLVE in 1975.  LBI MEDIA, founded in 1987 and headed by JOSE LIBERMAN and his son LENARD,  presently owns radio clusters in LOS ANGELES, DALLAS, and HOUSTON as well as TV stations in LOS ANGELES, SAN DIEGO, SALT LAKE CITY, HOUSTON, and DALLAS.
