BMI Elevates Nina Carter

BROADCAST MUSIC, INC. (BMI) has promoted NINA CARTER to the role of Assoc. Dir./Writer-Publisher Relations in NASHVILLE. CARTER fills the role vacated by PENNY GATTIS, who joined ROUND HILL MUSIC earlier this MONTH (NET NEWS 3/2). CARTER's elevated role will see her signing and providing service to writers in Country, Rock, Hip Hop, Indie, and film and television, as well as providing new showcase opportunities for artists in those genres.

"NINA CARTER is a dynamic individual with creative and organizational skills that make her a perfect fit for our department," said BMI VP/Writer-Publisher Relations JODY WILLIAMS. "She came to us after work for three years in BMI's ATLANTA office. For the last six MONTHS, she has assisted MARK MASON in planning and executing many events our department produces. She has a great ear for all kinds of music and is a tremendous help to emerging and established songwriters."
