Updating yesterday's lead story (NET NEWS 10/2) about CBS Smooth Jazz KOAI/DALLAS flipping to The New MOViN 107.5, NIKKI NITE is indeed the new PD. She's replacing CHARLIE CONNOLLY who takes her place at sister AC KVIL (103.7 LITE FM).
The New MOViN 107.5 format features a mix of Rhythmic hits from the 80’s, 90’s and today from such diverse artists as MARIAH CAREY, SHAKIRA, PRINCE, OUTKAST, JANET JACKSON and BEYONCE, among others, with a target of 25-40 year old females.
CBS/DALLAS Sr. VP/Market Mgr. BRIAN PURDY said, "MOViN is that rare format that combines upbeat Top 40 music from the past two decades along with a considerable amount of current popular releases. These are the songs that you fondly remember moving to not so long ago, as well as those titles destined to be classic hits. This unique opportunity is one we believe will set us apart in the market as it has done in several other cities across the country."
Remarking on NITE's segue from KVIL to MOViN, PURDY added, "Nikki did a terrific job relaunching LITE FM and returning the station to its market leading AC position. She’s more than earned the chance to direct the on-air presentation and evolution of MOViN."
While the movin1075.com site is not up yet, Smooth Jazz fans can still find KOAI's format on SmoothJazz1075.com.
