EMF Sells Two Nevada FM Translators

EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is selling K269FC/RENO, NV and K228DA/GARDNERVILLE, NV to TOM QUINN's RENO MEDIA GROUP, L.P. for $152,000.  The translators will rebroadcast Top 40 KLCA (ALICE @ 96.5)/TAHOE CITY-RENO.

In other filings with the FCC, REFUGE MEDIA GROUP is selling W280AA/SILVER BAY, MN to K & M BROADCASTING, INC. for $60,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast an AM station in DULUTH.

ERJ MEDIA, LLC has applied for a Silent STA for WOIR-A/HOMESTEAD, FL because it needs to replace equipment and cannot afford the $350,000 or an additional $200,000 for further replacement; it is looking to sell the station and does not want to incur substantial expenses before a sale.

FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for W229AQ/MANSFIELD, PA because the landlord for the transmitter site has sold the land and the station needs a new location.

FRASER VALLEY COMMUNITY MEDIA, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for KFFR/WINTER PARK, CO "in order to address the community's complaints about the station's current tower location, eliminate a potential environmental hazard, and relocate to a new site that is more favorable to the community."  It has received approval for a new site from the county and is applying to the FCC to change locations.

And INDIANA COMMUNITY RADIO CORPORATION has closed on the sale of W287BR/CARTHAGE, IN to BAS BROADCASTING, INC. for $27,000 to rebroadcast Oldies WMVO-A/MOUNT VERNON, OH.
