KUPL/Portland Gets Its MoJoe; Names Roberts PD/Afternoons

As ALL ACCESS first reported YESTERDAY (3/16), ALPHA MEDIA Country KUPL (98.7 THE BULL)/PORTLAND has named radio vet MOJOE ROBERTS PD/afternoons. As PD, ROBERTS takes over for ALPHA EVP SCOTT MAHALICK, who has been handling day-to-day since 2009. In afternoons, ROBERTS succeeds B-DUB, following the latter’s move to APD/MD/afternoons at CBS RADIO KMLE/PHOENIX in JANUARY(NET NEWS 1/29).

“ALPHA’s continued growth has given us the opportunity to welcome a full-time dedicated PD for 98.7 THE BULL,” said MAHALICK. "MOJOE ROBERTS is a born competitive warrior, amazing air talent and a great creative, take-charge leader.”

Most recently PD/afternoons at CUMULUS Top 40 KHOP/MODESTO, CA, ROBERTS’ vast radio resume includes programming and on-air roles at Rhythmic Top 40 clustermate KWIN, and Country outlets KATM/MODESTO, KQFC/BOISE and KXDD/YAKIMA. “Words cannot express how grateful I am for this amazing opportunity to join the ALPHA MEDIA team,” said ROBERTS  “A big thank you to SCOTT MAHALICK, PHIL BECKER and MILT MCCONNELL.
