'River Country 97.5' Now Plays In Paducah

STRATEMEYER MEDIA/PADUCAH, KY has launched “RIVER COUNTRY 97.5,” a simulcast of sister WRIK-A via FM translator W248CP. WRIK-A flips to Country, after previously airing a hybrid of News/Talk and Agriiculture programming.

“We hope to give the river region a Country station that they deserve, and will suit the tastes of the area,” said PD/midday personality PHILLIP REED, of the new station. “We're proud to call PADUCAH home, and we know that decisions made in other parts of the world don't necessarily make sense in WESTERN KENTUCKY and SOUTHERN ILLINOIS.” Market vet JC is handling afternoons; the station is seeking a morning host.
