Australian Radio Soap Writer Gwen Meredith DIes

Condolences to family and friends of playwright GWEN MEREDITH, who wrote long-running radio soap opera "BLUE HILLS" for AUSTRALIA's ABC RADIO. MEREDITH died recently at her BOWRAL, NSW home at 98. The show ran for 27 years (1949-1976) and garnered MEREDITH an MBE and OBE. She also wrote "THE LAWSONS," another soap that ran for five years in the 1940s.
