Capitol Music Group Names Ronny Gutfreund Dir./Alternative Promotion

Ronny Gutfreund

RONNY GUTFREUND has been named Dir./Alternative Promotion for CAPITOL MUSIC GROUP by SVP/Alternative Promotion GARY GORMAN, to whom he'll report. In his new position, GUTFREUND will focus his promotion efforts in the Eastern half of the U.S. on behalf of CMG's portfolio of labels, including CAPITOL, VIRGIN, HARVEST and ASTRALWERKS. Currently based in ATLANTA, GUTFREUND will relocate to NEW YORK in JUNE.

GUTFREUND was previously East Coast Dir./Promotion for WIND-UP RECORDS, joining the label in 2003 as a Promotion Coordinator before becoming its Mid-Atlantic Regional rep in 2006, and then its Southeast Regional rep in 2007. He began his career in 2001 with MAMMOTH RECORDS in NEW YORK before transitioning to ELEKTRA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP as an Alternative Promotion assistant.
