ENTERCOM Country WGGY (FROGGY 101)/WILKES BARRE-SCRANTON, PA has officially welcomed DOC MEDEK back for mornings with TODAY's (4/8) announcement of "THE DOC SHOW WITH JESSIE." MEDEK left CBS RADIO Country WXTU/PHILADELPHIA last MONTH (NET NEWS 3/29) and will returns to 'GGY in place of the recently exited ERIC PETERSON and SELENA ROBERTSON (NET NEWS 4/6).
It's a return to 'GGY for MEDEK, who launched the original "DOC SHOW" there in 1999, which enjoyed a successful 11-year run before MEDEK made the move to 'XTU. JESSIE ROBERTS joins MEDEK for mornings, moving from her post on Middays. She is also the station's APD/MD and will retain those duties.
"DOC is a world-class talent with local roots and an expert at his craft," ENTERCOM/WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON GM RYAN FLYNN said. "We are very fortunate to have him re-joining our team. FROGGY 101 has a long history of success in NORTHEAST PA that is driven by our connection to our local community. Having DOC and JESSIE together is a powerful way to start our programming day, and I can't wait to see them build on the great heritage of the station."
