Condolences to family and friends of longtime NEW YORK TIMES Classical WQXR/NEW YORK morning host GEORGE EDWARDS, who died AUGUST 21 at 87 in TENAFLY, NJ, according to the TIMES. EDWARDS (real name GEORGE EDWARD STEINHARDT) joined WQXR in 1948 and did the "BRIGHT AND EARLY" morning show there for 40 years.
