WWLS/Oklahoma City Presents Inaugural Bob Barry, Jr. Golf Classic

CUMULUS MEDIA Sports WWLS (98.1 THE SPORTS ANIMAL)/OKLAHOMA CITY, OK will present the BOB BARRY, JR. INAUGURAL MEMORIAL GOLF CLASSIC on MONDAY, AUGUST 8th at THE GREENS COUNTRY CLUB in OKLAHOMA CITY. The event will honor the late BOB BARRY, JR., OKC sportscaster and WWLS morning show personality who passed away last JUNE.

BBJ, as he was known, co-hosted the weekday 9a-noon talk show with former OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY football coach PAT JONES since 1993.

“When the family was approached about creating an event months ago, we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate and honor BOBBY," GINA BARRY, wife of BOB BARRY, JR., said. "He loved doing his daily show on WWLS, cherished talking sports with his callers, and was always championing our service men and women. Just like all of his many callers and listeners on the radio, we miss him every single day. This will be a great event and a perfect opportunity for everyone to get together, enjoy some golf, and share favorite stories and memories of BOBBY.”
