Karen Mateo Stepping Down As CBS Radio SVP/Communications

KAREN MATEO, who has played an integral role in CBS RADIO’s management team for nearly 13 years, has announced she will leaving her post as SVP/Communications on FRIDAY, MAY 6th.  MATEO has been a member of the CBS Communications department since 1992, working at CBS 2 NEW YORK, and before that CBS SPORTS.

CBS RADIO will soon begin a search for a new head of Communications. After FRIDAY, MAY 6th, press releases and interview requests should be directed to KRISTINA QUINTOS. 

CBS RADIO Pres. ANDRE FERNANDEZ and CBS CORPORATION EVP Communications DANA McCLINTOCK issued the following statement: "Please join us in thanking KAREN for her many, terrific contributions over the years. And let's all offer her best wishes as she enters this new stage in her life and career."

MATEO was named CBS RADIO SVP Communications in APRIL 2011. She joined CBS RADIO in SEPTEMBER 2003 as Director of Communications, and was later named VP Communications for the division in 2005.
