  As tributes from Country artists continue to pour in after the passing of Pop music icon PRINCE last WEEK (NET NEWS 4/22), MERCURY NASHVILLE artist CHRIS STAPLETON decided to forego the traditional "Purple Rain" cover and instead shared his take on the PRINCE-penned "Nothing Compares 2 U" during a performance at BERKELEY this past WEEKEND.
  
  The song was made famous by IRISH recording artist SINEAD O'CONNOR in 1990 and was later released by PRINCE as part several of his greatest hits compilations. See STAPLETON's soulful rendition of "Nothing Compares 2 U" here.
