'The Peak' Returns To Colorado Springs

CITADEL Oldies KSPZ/COLORADO SPRINGS flipped to AC "THE NEW PEAK FM" this morning (10/5), using the slogan "A Mountain of Favorite Songs." The market's previous "PEAK," KRDO, flipped from Hot AC to Country in July after being sold to CITADEL by PIKES PEAK BROADCASTING (NET NEWS 7/5).

"We heard from a lot of radio listeners who told us they missed the old PEAK FM after it went away," CITADEL/COLORADO SPRINGS OM BOBBY IRWIN says.

Most of the KSPZ airstaff remains; COYOTE McCLOUD joins for evenings, and DAN HARDEE comes aboard from CLEAR CHANNEL to host weekends.
