Veteran talk host TOM BECKA has joined the lineup at CUMULUS News-Talk KCMO-A/KANSAS CITY for middays 10a-noon (CT). BECKA, most recently at NRG MEDIA News-Talk KOIL-A/OMAHA and formerly at KFAB-A/OMAHA and KMBZ-A/KANSAS CITY, bumps MIKE FERGUSON to noon-1p. DAVE RAMSEY's syndicated show gains an hour to go 1-4p, and WESTWOOD ONE's MICHAEL SAVAGE moves from 2-4p to 4-6p, filling the slot held by GREG KNAPP until the latter's departure last week (NET NEWS 4/28).
MIDWEST Regional VP/Market Manager DONNA BAKER said, "KCMO TALK RADIO takes an exciting step forward today. Welcoming BECKA back to KC, MIKE FERGUSON continuing local community conversations over the lunch hour, and DAVE RAMSEY returning to three hours in the afternoon are powerful additions to our talented line-up."
OM LANCE TIDWELL said, “I’m really excited to work with TOM BECKA. TOM is a truly entertaining talk show host with history in KANSAS CITY and the perfect fit for our local line-up with (morning host) ROB CARSON and MIKE FERGUSON.”
BECKA said, “I’m thrilled to be coming back to KANSAS CITY radio. There is a great energy in town with lots to talk about. I can’t wait!”
