Media Monitors Radio Political Spot Update: Sanders On Top, Trump Now Second

There's a new second place finisher in MEDIA MONITORS' weekly updates on presidential primary campaign ad spending, as leader BERNIE SANDERS holds onto the top slot but both DONALD TRUMP and TED CRUZ pass HILLARY CLINTON for 82 major markets during the APRIL 22nd-MAY 1st period.
SANDERS' total was 1,953 spots --1,920 spots bought by his campaign, the other 22 by the NATIONAL NURSES UNITED PATIENT PROTECTION PAC. TRUMP's campaign bought 970 ads; CRUZ was the beneficiary of 867 spots, with 495 purchased by his campaign, 254 spots bought by the TRUSTED LEADERSHIP PAC, 47 from the CLUB FOR GROWTH ACTION Super PAC, 25 spots from the KEEP THE PROMISE I PAC, 25 from the RHODE ISLAND RIGHT TO LIFE FEDERAL PAC, and 21 from the NATIONAL RIGHT TO LIFE VICTORY FUND. CLINTON had 498 spots, 398 bought by her campaign and 100 from the AMERICAN FEDERATION OF TEACHERS SOLIDARITY.On the negative side, the OUR PRINCIPLES PAC bought 125 spots against TRUMP.
