MOYES RESEARCH ASSOCIATES reported that the 19 stations participating in the “Radio: The Power of Sound™ ” Pilot Program -– which started in AUGUST of 2015 -- experienced an average increase in Local Spot Revenue in first quarter of 2016 of 9.8%. This compares with a national average gain of just 1% in Local Spot in all markets that report revenue to MILLER KAPLAN.
The firm contends that the “Power of Sound” Pilot Program is working to really change their local advertisers’ opinion of Radio from being a dying traditional medium to being a very powerful one in a way advertisers cannot refute, by giving the participating stations a new kind of critical sales training their staffs need in this new environment.
