Eminem Ex Kim Mathers Admits To Suicide Attempt

KIM MATHERS, ex-wife of EMINEM, admitted on iHEARTMEDIA Top 40 WKQI (CHANNEL 955)/DETROIT "The MOJO in the Morning Show" that her DUI-caused car crash last fall was actually a suicide attempt, FOX2 DETROIT reports.

Last OCTOBER, MATHERS' car struck a utility pole on 23 Mile and Card Roads in MACOMB COUNTY; her SUV landed upside down in a ditch. "I sat at the end of road I knew no one else but myself would get hurt," she told MOJO. "Yes I drank. I took pills and I hit the gas and aimed for the pole."

"What you are admitting, it was a suicide attempt?"

"Yes," MATHERS said. "And they knew that, that's why those [court] records were sealed. There was medical information in there, it had nothing to do with rest of the case."

MATHERS, who has been battling depression for years, was asked if her ex-husband EMINEM has been there for her along the way. "Yes he has been very supportive," she said. "We are very close friends; we are just trying to raise our kids together and make it as normal for them as possible."

MATHERS' attorney has filed motions to have the case dismissed. She is expected back in court later this month.
