Joel Palmer

JOEL PALMER, the Creative Production Director at iHEARTMEDIA News/Talk WTAG and AC WSRS/WORCESTER, MA, passed away on FRIDAY (MAY 6th) after a long battle with cancer at the age of 67. 

JOEL joined the stations' production department in 1985, where his voice could be heard on radio stations throughout several states.  He was a lover of animals, especially his two dogs, ATHENA and TEDDY and two birds, SOPHIE and CUDDLES,  a "true king of the one-liners," as well as a faithful RED SOX and PATRIOTS fan.

He is survived by his wife SHARON, their daughter LORI, brother TOM, three sisters, SARAH, MARY and KEREN, and great granddaughter ADELINE JOVAN.  Donations may be made to the SECOND CHANCE ANIMAL SHLETER, P.O. Box 136, EAST BROOKFIELD, MA 01515. 

His funeral will be held on WEDNESDAY, MAY 11th, at the DANIEL T. MORRILL FUNERAL HOME, 130 Hamilton St., SOUTHBRIDGE, MA, with a graveside service at 11a in NORTH CEMETERY, STURBRIDGE.  In honor of his favorite color, mourners are asked to dress in blue.
