CUMULUS has lost its bid for an injunction to block former Country WMDH (NASH FM 102.5)/NEW CASTLE-MUNCIE, IN morning co-host AMANDA ROLLEN from moving to rival HOOSIER AM/FM as Production Dir. for its MARION and KOKOMO stations.
ROLLEN had exited CUMULUS on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd and joined HOOSIER on OCTOBER 20th; CUMULUS sued to enforce a six-month noncompete clause in her contract (NET NEWS 3/25), but the MUNCIE STAR-PRESS reports that DELAWARE COUNTY Circuit Court 4 Judge JOHN FEICK ruled that CUMULUS had not shown evidence of monetary or ratings impact, calling any suggested harm "speculative, at best."
The judge also noted that NASH FM's CHRIS (CARTER) GREEN had told her he was not concerned with her production work but just didn't want her on the air for HOOSIER during the six months.
