HASTINGS COLLEGE noncommercial Alternative KFKX/HASTINGS, NE will turn in its license on JUNE 30th, reports NBC affiliate KSNB-TV (NBC NEBRASKA)/SUPERIOR, NE. The programming will continue as a web stream and via podcasts, but Journalism and Media Arts Dir. CHAD POWER told the TV station that a lack of listeners and "a dwindling industry with fewer jobs" led to the decision to close the station.

Fine Arts Professor TOM KEAGER told ABC affiliate KHGI-TV (NTV)/KEARNEY that the school will devote resources to a new visual media program incorporating art classes.
