Condolences to family and friends of longtime CALIFORNIA STATE UNIV.-NORTHRIDGE journalism instructor and noncommercial KCSN/NORTHRIDGE-LOS ANGELES News Dir. KEITH GOLDSTEIN, who died WEDNESDAY (5/18) in WOODLAND HILLS, CA of complications from the flu at 61, according to the LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS.
Starting his career while attending TEMPLE UNIVERSITY and working at the school's WRTI/PHILADELPHIA, GOLDSTEIN, who also worked at WILQ-WYLC-A/WILLIAMSPORT and WKOK-A-F/SUNBURY, PA, joined KCSN in 1987 and led the station's news staff to almost 500 awards, including 34 regional EDWARD R. MURROW Awards, 50 Golden Mike Awards, and 6 MARK TWAIN Awards; he was honored last year with the LOS ANGELES chapter of the SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISTS' Distinguished Journalist Award.
