Country Format Rallies Around Bob Kingsley For National Radio Hall Of Fame Bid

As ALL ACCESS reported YESTERDAY (5/23), nationally syndicated Country radio personality BOB KINGSLEY is nominated for induction in the NATIONAL RADIO HALL OF FAME (NET NEWS 5/23). KINGSLEY earns a nod in the Music Format On-Air Personality category, which will be voted upon by listeners nationwide beginning MONDAY, JUNE 20th.

Country radio, records, and artists have decided to rally around KINGSLEY in this bid for a well-earned and long-overdue slot in the HALL and have launched the "COUNT ME IN BOB" campaign via FACEBOOK using the hashtag #CountMeInBob to raise awareness. "COUNT ME IN BOB" is designed to engage the Country music community to assist in BOB's bid for the HALL OF FAME via a strong social media push that will activate the Country radio listening community and encourage them to vote.

KINGSLEY is the host and Executive Producer of the syndicated weekly countdown show "BOB KINGSLEY'S COUNTRY TOP 40" and has been the king of the Country countdown for over four decades. He has twice been named the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION National Broadcast Personality Of The Year, and his show has received BILLBOARD's Network/Syndicated Program Of The Year Award sixteen times. COUNTRY RADIO BROADCASTERS have named him National Air Personality Of The Year on three occasions. KINGSLEY has received the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC's National Broadcast Personality Of The Year Award and was chosen as the recipient of CRB's President's Award in 2012. In 1998, KINGSLEY was inducted into the COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME, and in FEBRUARY 2014 was honored on the stage of the GRAND OLE OPRY as the BOB KINGSLEY LIVING LEGEND AWARD was launched.
