ARBITRON has released the new market rankings for the FALL '06 BOOK, based on projected CENSUS population data by CLARITAS. In the top 10, HOUSTON moves up from No. 7 to No. 6, PHILADELPHIA drops from No. 6 to No. 7, ATLANTA rises from No. 10 to No. 9, and DETROIT dips from No. 9 to No. 10.
The following top 50 markets have moved up in rank: PORTLAND, OR (No. 24-No. 23), RIVERSIDE-SAN BERNARDINO (No. 27-No. 25), CHARLOTTE (No. 35-No. 33), ORLANDO (No. 37-No. 34), and COLUMBUS, OH (No. 38-No. 37).
