ICICLE BROADCASTING Triple A KOHO/LEAVENWORTH-WENATCHEE, WA has flipped to an AC format TODAY, (5/27).
The station will be known as “The Valley’s Best Mix, the All-New KOHO 101”.
PD CLINT STRAND said “While our Triple A format garnered us passionate fans throughout the WENATCHEE VALLEY and NORTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON, we have always hewed more to the “AC” side of Triple A. We will still retain some of the playlist our listeners have come to love, while musically widening our reach to welcome an even larger demographic. It’s the right time for this shift for our station, and it’s the right music mix for NORTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON.”
KOHO has offered a mix of in-depth local news and community information along with their music mix, and STRAND says that won’t change. “Our listeners depend on us for local headlines and conversations with newsmakers, and we’re looking forward to deepening that commitment moving forward.”
STRAND said the format switch will not feature any personnel moves. All on-air and production staff will retain their positions.
