KWYL/Reno Morning Host Ron James Arrested For Sexual Assault

CUMULUS MEDIA Top 40/Rhythmic KWYL (WILD 102.9)/RENO morning man RON JAMES (real name: AMOS AYERS), was arrested by RENO POLICE on MAY 26th for sexual assault after allegedly sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman who had been drinking in 2015, KOLOTV.COM reports.

In JUNE 2015 the woman had been drinking and went with an "acquaintance" back to JAMES' office, where the police say the alleged sexual assault took place. RENO Sex Crimes Unit detectives investigated for several weeks before getting an arrest warrant. AYERS, who has also been a referee for girls' athletics, was taken into custody without incident.

KWYL GM JENNIFER ODOM told KOLO 8 News Now, "He's off the air until further notice pending the outcome of the investigation."
