CUMULUS News-Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK weekend host JOAN HAMBURG taped her next show YESTERDAY (6/7) at SARDI'S in TIMES SQUARE as a special episode in advance of the TONY AWARDS this SUNDAY. The special episode, taped before 100 listeners at the legendary theater hangout, will air on SATURDAY (6/11) 1-3p (ET).
Among HAMBURG's guests will be DAVEED DIGGS and CHRISTOPHER JACKSON from the hit musical "HAMILTON," expected to dominate the awards; CHRISTOPHER FITZGERALD from the musical adaptation of the late ADRIENNE SHELLY's film "WAITRESS"; LAURA BENANTI from the revival of "SHE LOVES ME"; HEATHER HEADLEY from the revival of the musical version of "THE COLOR PURPLE"; MATTHEW BRODERICK and BILLY CARTER of the current off-BROADWAY staging of the Irish play "SHINING CITY"; BILLY PORTER and BRIAN STOKES MITCHELL from the revival/reimagining of the EUBIE BLAKE/NOBLE SISSLE musical revue "SHUFFLE ALONG"; and JAYNE HOUDYSHELL and REED BIRNEY from STEPHEN KARAM's play "THE HUMANS."
