CUMULUS MEDIA Classic Rock KQRS/MINNEAPOLIS on-air personality TOM BARNARD and the station morning show introduced a new transgender traffic reporter earlier this week.
BARNARD happened to mention to one of his longtime friends, LAUREN SIEGEL (previously CLIFF), the lead singer of MINNESOTA ROCK AND COUNTRY HALL OF FAME inductees THE HIGH SPIRITS, that the 92 KQRS traffic reporter was leaving, so he invited her on-air for an audition.
Last month, BARNARD had SIEGEL on the show to discuss musicians boycotting NORTH CAROLINA’s “Bathroom Bill”, which drove tremendous positive response from KQ listeners. Her traffic report was so well-received this MORNING that LAUREN will return to the show on a recurring basis.
