SANDHILL MEDIA GROUP has tapped radio vet DALE DESMOND for VP/Country Programming duties effective FRIDAY, JULY 1st. DESMOND’s responsibilities will include KUPI/IDAHO FALLS, ID; KKEX/LOGAN, UT; and KONY/ST. GEORGE, UT. He’ll be based in IDAHO FALLS, which means a return to the market where he previously spent seven years as PD/mornings for RIVERBEND crosstown Country KTHK. A move to APEX BROADCASTING WCKN/CHARLESTON, SC followed in 2013 (NET NEWS 3/20/13).

Since DECEMBER, DESMOND has been OM at CHERRY CREEK/HELENA, MT, doubling as PD/mornings for the cluster’s Country KBLL. Send congrats here. Meanwhile, CHERRY CREEK is looking to fill DESMOND’s position already, with group PD MARK ELLIOTT accepting materials here.
