University Of Southern Indiana's WSWI (The Edge)/Evansville Adds FM Translator Simulcast

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN INDIANA noncommercial Alternative WSWI-A (THE EDGE)/EVANSVILLE has signed on its FM translator simulcast on W239CI/EVANSVILLE at 95.7 FM.

The school has operated the student-run station since receiving it in a donation from SOUTH CENTRAL COMMUNICATIONS in 1981, initially with Classical and Jazz and then, in 1983, Alternative; the "EDGE" branding launched in 2006. The station will also air USI men's and women's basketball and baseball, formerly on EVANSVILLE-VANDERBURGH SCHOOL CORP. noncommercial Variety WPSR/EVANSVILLE.
