JOHNNY HYATT, a veteran of ALBUQUERQUE radio and advertising, died SUNDAY (10/8) after a long illness, the ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL reports. He was 69. HYATT began his radio career at stations in NORTH DAKOTA, ILLINOIS and MINNESOTA before joining HUBBARD BROADCASTING's KOB-A/ALBUQUERQUE (now KKOB-A) as morning man. He rose to that station's PD, and when HUBBARD signed on KOB-F (now KKOB-F), he became PD of that station as well. HYATT later moved to the advertising industry, writing, producing and voicing commercials and coining a local car dealership's catch-phrase, "Which FORD? RICH FORD."
