Longtime WJR/Detroit Reporter Rod Hansen Dies At 75

Condolences to family and friends of longtime WJR-A/DETROIT news reporter ROD HANSEN, who died MONDAY (7/4) of cancer at his home in CANTON, MI at 75.

The two-time PEABODY AWARD winner joined WJR as an anchor and then a reporter in 1967, covering the riots in DETROIT and breaking several major stories over the years.  He left WJR in 2005 and more recently worked as a media liaison for the U.S. District Court.  HANSEN was enshrined in the MICHIGAN JOURNALISM HALL OF FAME.
