WCBM/Baltimore's Tom Marr Off Air After Suffering Stroke

WCBM MARYLAND INC. News-Talk WCBM-A/BALTIMORE 9a-noon (ET) weekday host TOM MARR suffered a stroke SATURDAY morning (7/3) and will be off the air while he recovers. BRUCE ELLIOTT will fill in for MARR during the recovery period.
The MARR family said in a statement released through the station, “In the early hours of JULY 3rd, TOM MARR suffered a stroke due to complications from a recent surgical procedure on his spine. We ask everyone to keep him in their thoughts and prayers for a full recovery, and to respect our wishes for privacy regarding his medical condition."
“I have known and worked with my colleague and friend TOM MARR for close to thirty years. He is a fighter and I hope and pray that he will make a full recovery. BRUCE ELLIOTT will fill in for TOM until he is able to return.” said PD SEAN CASEY.
GM MARC BEAVEN added, "TOM MARR has made a tremendous mark on WCBM and on the BALTIMORE radio listening audience for almost 50 years. We ask listeners to pray for TOM’s recovery.”
