WPOZ/Orlando Promotes Breast Cancer Awareness

Contemporary Christian WPOZ (88.3)/ORLANDO is teaming up with FLORIDA HOSPITAL CENTRA CARE to promote breast cancer awareness. The station's morning show will visit seven different CENTRA CARE locations during OCTOBER to spread awareness. At each location listeners can sign "The Z88.3 Pink Promise," which asks them to pledge to remember to schedule their annual exam and to spread the word to family and friends.

On-air the morning show is promoting "The Pink Link" on its web site, www.zradio.com, which helps promote awareness along with giving useful information about breast cancer. "This cause is really important to me personally," says MD/morning show host SCOTT SMITH. "I lost my mother to breast cancer, but it is preventable which is why we are so passionate about spreading awareness."
