LAS VEGAS area Country radio veteran "COUNTRY CHUCK" MANNING has passed away according to posts from his family and friends via social media. "COUNTRY CHUCK has passed away. He will be missed greatly. I know radio was so important to him, and I thank everyone for supporting him for so many years," reads CHUCK's FACEBOOK fan page. "Thank you for all the kind words. We are trying to plan an event to celebrate my dad's life and will provide more details soon."
BEASLEY Country KCYE/LAS VEGAS APD TODD MICHAELS shared via FACEBOOK, "RIP CHUCK MANNING, who, as 'COUNTRY CHUCK,' entertained thousands and thousands of radio listeners with his unique perspective, salty jokes, grouchy demeanor, and collection of Country oldies. He was a mentor to me as well as a good friend." MICHAELS told ALL ACCESS that CHUCK had been dealing with heart problems for some time and had undergone bypass surgery. "COUNTRY CHUCK" joined KCYE in 2010 (NET NEWS 2/4/2010) after spending time with then-CLEAR CHANNEL's crosstown Country KWNR. His radio career began in 1969 at WJWL-A/GEORGETOWN, DE before he moved to LAS VEGAS in 1975 to join KORK-A.
