Switchfoot To Headline Free XTRA (91X)/San Diego Concert On Imperial Beach Pier Sunday

91X Welcomes Switchfoot

LOCAL MEDIA SAN DIEGO Alternative XTRA (91X) is presenting a free concert with local rock band SWITCHFOOT this SUNDAY (JULY 17th) at 6p (PT) on IMPERIAL BEACH PIER. 

The show comes a week after the band performed to thousands of fans in NORTH COUNTY at the "BRO-AM" event at MOONLIGHT BEACH in ENCINITAS, their hometown.  91X introduced the idea of doing a similar free concert on the beach for fans in the SOUTHERN area of the county, and the band immediately said yes.

Commented PD HALLORAN: "I can't say enough nice things about SWITCHFOOT and their dedication to fans. Two back-to-back free concerts on the beach, and now being able to serve the SOUTH area of SAN DIEGO, in communities that don't always get the same perks. IMPERIAL BEACH looks gorgeous, the city has been so supportive to make this happen, I cannot wait for SUNDAY!"

Commented SWITCHFOOT: "We love the beach, we love SAN DIEGO, we love 91X, and we love SOUTH COUNTY. SOUTH COUNTY doesn't get enough shows, I can't think of a more epic spot to play than right there on the pier in IB.  We're all still fired up from BRO-AM, where we played to 18,000 people at MOONLIGHT BEACH, so why not keep this thing going with a free show right on the pier in IMPERIAL BEACH."

SWITCHFOOT released their 10th studio album, "Where The Light Shines Through," last week.
