The Learning Begins Today At The KBA WKU Radio Talent Institute In Kentucky

During the 4th annual KBA WKU RADIO TALENT INSTITUTE at WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY, 35 broadcasters begin the ten days of discovering and preparing young talent who have a strong desire to be in the broadcast industry as entry level talent today and become the leaders in the industry tomorrow.
Teaching in the Institute as Guest Professional Faculty are STEVE NEWBERRY, President of COMMONWEALTH COMMUNICATIONS, BUD WALTERS, President of CROMWELL RADIO GROUP, CHRIS HILLARD, President of FOREVER COMMUNICATIONS, KRISTIN CANTRELL, Owner/CEO of CAPCITY COMMUNICATIONS and SEVEN MOUNTAINS MEDIA, MIKE TARTER, President and TERRY FORCHT, Chairman/CEO of FORCHT BROADCASTING and LYNN MARTIN, President of LM COMMUNICATIONS and others in the state and region.
Twenty four students from across the state and region have been accepted into the Institute, and all will be taking the RAB course to become certified as Radio Marketing Professionals, as well as learning from broadcasters in almost every aspect of radio including on-air, sports, news, production, promotions and digital/social media.
THE KENTUCKY BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION underwrites the KBA WKU RADIO TALENT INSTITUTE and HENRY LACKEY, KBA’s President/CEO, will be making the closing comments for the Institute ten days from now.
