OFCOM, the U.K. equivelent to the FCC, has awarded a new FM radio license to ABSOLUTE RADIO INTERNATIONAL (ARI) for the launch of an Adult Hits "JACK FM" station in OXFORD and SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE.
"Already a huge success in NORTH AMERICA, JACK FM will start a revolution in radio listening choice right across OXFORDHIRE," ARI says in a press release. "JACK FM OXFORDSHIRE will be programmed locally to give listeners what they have said they want -- a large playlist of popular Adult Variety Hits from four decades, rather than a tight library of formatted overplayed pop songs."
The station, expected to be on the air by MARCH 2007, will air a weekly music and entertainment program hosted by former FOX FM host and U.K. legend PHIL ANGELL.
