WPEG (Power 98)/Charlotte To Hold 28-Hour Radiothon For Salvation Army To Raise $10,000

BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP Urban WPEG (POWER 98)/CHARLOTTE will host a special 28-hour radiothon to raise funds for The SALVATION ARMY summer overflow shelter for women and children. It will kick-off this THURSDAY JULY 21st at 6a (ET). The broadcast will take place at THE SALVATION ARMY 534 Spratt Street in CHARLOTTE.
POWER 98’s NO LIMIT LARRY AND THE MORNING MADDHOUSE will broadcast live and sleep in vehicles on the grounds of the SALVATION ARMY as part of their commitment to raise $10,000 for the shelter. Activities during the 28-hour broadcast will include a beauty bar for the residents, an ice cream party for the kids; courtesy of Carolina Panther football player CHARLES JOHNSON, and a movie night with food and drinks. The MORNING MADDHOUSE crew and station personnel will be accepting donations online as well as collecting toiletries, diapers, and gift cards. The special radiothon will wrap up on FRIDAY Morning at 10a (ET)
MORNING MADDHOUSE co-host Ms. JESSICA THE GIRL NEXT DOOR said, “With temperatures hitting 100 degrees this weekend and the shelter being home to 200 women and 200 children at any given time; we had to do something."
